BLACKBURN brewer Thwaites was given 100 per cent in its September Cask Marque audit, which rates the quality of its beer.
Cask Marque assesses the brewery regularly on the quality of its people, products and procedures as part of its distribution accreditation, which aims to ensure their cask ale is supplied in perfect condition.
The distribution depot in Shadsworth was measured against various quality criteria, including stock-taking, rotational procedures and refrigeration conditions.
Thwaites is only the second brewery nationwide to achieve a 100 per cent score on the audit.
Depot manager Brian Kinney said: “We are extremely proud to have achieved an unbeatable mark in such a highly regarded audit.
“Our perfect score is credit to the efforts and dedication of all those working here at the depot.”
