Carols in aid of homeless in Blackburn

HERBERT Parkinson, the Darwen-based manufacturing arm of John Lewis, is to host a charity Christmas carol concert at Darwen Aldridge Community Academy.

Money raised at the event will go to Blackburn homeless charity Nightsafe, the firm’s charity of the year.

Carols will be accompanied by the Blackburn and Darwen Brass Band.

The event is on Friday, December 7, from 7pm and tickets cost £5 from the charity at The Boulevard Centre, Railway Road, Blackburn, or from Debbie Hall at Herbert Parkinson, in Monton Road, call 01254 778825.
