A BLACKBURN man was left with a nasty cut to the back of his head after a being pulled from his bicycle.
Police said the 32-year-old was riding his black mountain bike along Byron Street when he was pulled of his bike by a gang of men, before hitting his head on the pavement.
The gang, including two white men and an asian man all wearing dark tracksuit type clothing, then ran off empty handed.
The cyclist managed to call an ambulance and was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital where his head wound was later glued.
The incident took place on Friday shortly after 10.30pm.
Detectives are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
DS Adrian McHugh said: “I urge anyone who witnessed the information to contact police on 101.”

If he is looking for criminal comp that will be taken into consideration.
Call me suspicious but I think he fell off his bike made up the story just to get a bit of time off work (if he works), and a bit of good old comp.

i know many who ride 10,000+ miles a year without one and without incident.
in most cases helmets are only necessary because so many motorists are aware of what thye're doing.

Nobody deserves a good beating especially for riding a bike on the pavement. Attitudes like that make you as bad as the people you are condemning.
People who ride on the pavement are dog dirt and cause numerous minor accidents. I was just making a supportive comment and it's not my fault you've got yourself upset

What story have I made up? Are you saying that people don't cycle on the pavement? I hope you do because it would confirm how stupid you are.
Come on big man, clarify yourself because all you've done so far is make up a persona for me to hide your stance at defending cyclists selfishly using the pavement and putting the lives of our young and infirm at risk

Cyclists do not cycle on the pavement. You might get some kid on a BSO who rides on a pavement but that kid isn't a cyclist and doesn't yet know the agenda.
To claim that knob-heads who potter around pavements on BSOs cause a risk to ANYone is taking a hatred of cyclists to mentally-ill proportions. You think you've got an argument but you are making yourself look ludicrous and worse than pathetic.

Your denial of this fact is proof ( if ever needed ) that you are a liar and an fool.

At no point did I claim this person cycled on the pavement or that I hate cyclists. You can keep arguing if you wish but you will simply continue to make yourself look stupid and who am I to stop you from doing that after all these years.

And if someone is knocking a football about, do they become a footballer? By your reckoning, they do but your stupidity probably reveals some underlying mental issues. So carry on; it's my buss man's holiday after-all.

And you're a liar. You agreed with someone up above who claimed he was cycling on the pavement and then, due to your inability, you suggested cyclists 'deserve a good beating', your comments. then when called on it, you're back-peddalling faster than a certain Tory MP who'll be named and shamed later this week (although we all know who he is!)

I also said 'some cyclists' deserve a beating.
Not only have we made you look like a paranoid idiot but I've even given you a lesson is English literature. I can see why you like making things up as you are unable to extrapolate facts from a given comment.
Still, my helping of the feeble minded has given me a little bit of karma
