Burnley man charged with raping schoolgirls

A MAN faced Burnley magistrates accused of raping two schoolgirls.

Colin Dunn, 63, of no fixed address, is charged with five allegations of rape dating back to the 1960s and two of rape involving the second alleged victim, said to have occurred in the 1980s.

There is also an allegation of indecent assault on a third girl, from the 1990s. All the alleged offences are said to have taken place in Haslingden.

Dunn had his case sent to Burnley Crown Court for trial and he was remanded in custody to November 5.
