Ribble Valley man accused of abducting 15-year-old

A 22-YEAR-OLD Ribble Valley man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with taking a 15-year-old girl from the lawful control of Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Services and committing the offence of abduction with the intention of committing a relevant sexual offence.
Sean James Collings, of Pendleton Road, Wiswell, was directed to Preston Crown Court and remanded in custody pending the preparation of committal papers.
The girl, who cannot be named for legal reason, was reported missing from a children’s home on two occasions.
She is alleged to have spent Saturday night at a hotel in Blackburn with the defendant.
