Views of Ramsbottom parents wanted over buses
1:26pm Tuesday 16th October 2012 in News
PARENTS of pupils at Woodhey High School in Ramsbottom are being encouraged to take part in consultation regarding school transport.
Bury Council is proposing to remove free transport to pupils on the grounds of their or their parents’ religion or belief, where there is a nearer qualifying school.
Under the revised policy, which could come into force next September, children from low income families and those that live more than 3 miles from their nearest available school will continue to be eligible for a free home-to-school travel pass.
