Hallowe'en crafts for young people in Rossendale

MASK-making, pumpkin design, and apple-bobbing are just some of the activities that will be spooking young people across Rossendale this Hallowe’en.

They are part of a series of events organised by Lancashire County Council, between October 18 and November 5.

County Coun Mark Perks, cabinet member for young people, said the free activities were a chance to combine fun and learning.

He said: “Hallowe’en is a time to get involved in lots of fun activities and, with bonfire night just around the corner, I’m pleased that we’ll also be taking the opportunity to discuss safety with young people at some of the events.”

The excitement begins at the Old Fire Station, in Rawtenstall, this Thursday, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, with a Hallowe’en craft session.

Full details of the activites at the young people’s centres in Haslingden, Rawtenstall, Whitworth, and Bacup, can be found at on www.lancashire.gov. uk/yps
