PEOPLE in Blackburn with Darwen are being asked to think again about mental health this week.
A host of events are taking place this week on the theme of ‘Time to Change’.
To show support for World Mental Health Week, the campaign, led by charities MIND and RETHINK., seeks to raise awareness that mental health problems affect one in four.
To recognise World Mental Health Day, Blackburn with Darwen Care Trust Plus is organising a discussion on ‘Mental Health and wellbeing today. And Darwen Aldridge Community Academy is staging an ‘Arts and Minds’ event.
MIND, in Blackburn, is organising a week of Wellbeing walk-in’s which run until Friday at its Heaton Street premises.
And yesterday Wesley Hall saw a ‘Our Mind and Body Health Day’. The council’s health boss Councillor Mohammed Khan said: “It is really important that we raise awareness about mental health, not only to remove the stigma around it but to let people know there are many services out there that is available to support them.”
