MUSICIANS are tuning up for a concerted effort to ‘banish the winter blues’ for residents, workers and shoppers in a Pendle town.
Players from Earby Music Club received favourable reviews when they launched a series of upbeat autumn, winter and spring concerts for local music lovers last year.
And they are following up their fledgling success with a series of nine new offerings, which are due to be performed again at the town’s Parish Rooms in Victoria Road.
Tomorrow, between 2pm and 4pm, will see the second portion of their programme at the venue, leading up to a Christmas party on December 12.
The monthly gigs then continue into 2013, culminating in a planned ‘members choice’ concert, on April 10, and the club’s annual general meeting on May 8.
