Hazardous chemical removed from Blackburn

FIREFIGHTERS were called after a man saw a 25-litre drum of hazardous material, in Whalley Old Road, Blackburn.

They attended at 3.45pm yesterday to find the sealed drum was marked with ‘chemical release agent’ on the label.

Crew manager Mick Birks said: “After investigating, we found the drum wasn’t leaking, so we called the local authority who came to take it away.”

Got to love the in-depth reporting here...

A chemical release agent container is found on the road and duly reported for it's risk to both human and environment. Then the Council are called for, to dispose of it.

Am I the only person to be concerned that this may form part of an explosive mixture, especially in an age of asymmetric warfare where we really to have to think outside of the box?
Anyone reported the loss of any Urea (N45-P0-K0) fertiliser recently?

A release agent is a chemical used to prevent other materials from bonding to surfaces...

I guess you must be covered release agent from head to toe, becasue from your comment I can tell that don't like to bond with others...

Should I be calling the council to remove you too.
