POLICE are appealing for help to find a £5,500 watch which was stolen during a burglary at a house in Longridge.

The Rolex submariner watch was taken in the early hours of Thursday morning.

A 39-year-old man from Blackburn has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Sgt Tim McDermott said: “It is very distinctive and we are hoping someone will recognise the picture and come forward. I appeal to anyone who has been offered the watch for sale or who knows where we can find it to contact us.”

Information: contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

View this with equanimity. When compared with a stolen society, it's nothing.

Why aren't they £5500? That sounds about right for a new one from a dealers. Second hand ones always fetch a bit less but Rolex hold their value well. Having said that its not distinctive at all but any bag head with a Rolex should be getting locked up anyway!
