HEAVY rain caused parts of a Ribble Valley village to flood this morning.

Around two feet of water collected in the busy road, which passes under the railway bridge, in Whalley Road, Billington, making it almost impassable.

Councillors are now calling for Lancashire County Council to assess the issue in the borough.
