EVENING motorway repairs will see the M65 closed off at Darwen, with overnight work taking place until next week.
A £69,000 Highways Agency scheme to carry out targeted resurfacing and tackle potholes and surface cracks is expected to be completed by Thursday, October 11.
The work will be taking place along the 4.5-mile westbound stretch of the motorway between Junction 4 at Darwen and Junction 3 at Riley Green.
Motorists trying to access Junction 4, or who are travelling on the westbound carriageway, will be diverted back through Feniscowles to access the motorway at Junction 3.
Closures will take place between 10pm and 5am except on Saturday and Sunday mornings which will reopen westbound at 7am.
