Ryan Tomlinson takes on the challenge
NINE chilli-eating challengers attempted to devour eight blistering hot chicken legs for charity.
The challengers took part in the Man v Food-style challenge at Sukhi’s Indian restaurant in Blackburn Road, Darwen.
They had to eat the eight wings covered in the sauce — a combination of the hottest chillis around the world.
If they completed the challenge, they received a T-shirt and a place on the ‘wall of flame’, and a free meal.
Those who failed the challenge had to pay £14.95 for charity’.
One contender, 21-year-old Callum Ramsey lasted less than three minutes before quitting the challenge.
But asbestos-mouthed Phil Colbert, from Darwen, chomped his way through the meal in 23 minutes and 40 seconds, and managed the three minute afterburn.
