A HUNT has been launched to find two men who threatened a group of Blackburn schoolboys and demanded they hand over property.

Detectives have released CCTV images after four schoolboys were the victims of a street robbery in Blackburn.

The teenagers were on a break from school, and were due to go back to help out at a parents’ evening when they were threatened.

They were walking along Barton Street when they were approached by a group of men.

They threatened the boys and demanded that they hand over their money, and phones.

One of the boys eventually handed over a £5 note, and the men left the scene via Lord Street West.

The victims, aged between 15 and 16, were described as ‘extremely shaken’ by the incident, at around 2.15pm on Thursday September 20.

DC Dan Perkins said: “Fortunately, the boys were uninjured, but they were clearly left extremely shaken by what happened.

“I would appeal to anyone with any information that could help to contact us.”

The first man has been described as Asian, aged between 16 and 19 years old, around 5 ft 10 ins tall, and said to be of a stocky, or fat, build.

He had shaved hair, and his face appeared clean shaven. He wore a black, zip-up, leather-look jacket with epaulettes on the shoulders, dark blue jeans, and light-coloured boots.

A second man was described as Asian, between 16 and 17 years old, of slim build, and around 5ft 7 to 8ins tall.

He had close-cropped facial hair and wore a light blue Nike cap, dark-coloured hooded jacket, with a green inner lining to the hood, dark blue jeans, and trainers with white soles. He carried a courier-style bag.
