Blackburn law firm trio to run three races in memory of colleague

THREE Blackburn legal eagles will run a hat-trick of street races this autumn in memory of a former colleague.
Greg Boyes, Kaylie Panaro, and Tom Smith, from commercial law firm Garricks, will each complete the Preston 10k, Preston Guild Half Marathon, and Preston 10- mile Road Race, over the coming weeks to raise money for East Lancashire Hospice.
The hospice cared for Garricks’ former secretary Sandra Place, who lost her battle with cancer in April this year.
Tom Smith, solicitor at Garricks, said: “East Lancashire Hospice does a fantastic job day-in and day-out, providing specialist and supportive care for patients, and their families, and we’re very proud to be supporting the charity.
“None of us have a great deal of running experience, so we’ve all been working hard to squeeze in the training when we can, and we’re looking forward to the challenge.”
The Preston 10k takes place on September 30, the Guild Half Marathon on October 28, and the Preston 10-mile Road Race on November 18.
