Furnishers first in line for scheme

A SOFT furnishing firm in Blackburn has become the first to benefit from a new business consultancy scheme.
J Rosenthal & Son Ltd, which supplies bedding and curtains, is being given advice from UK transport, logistics and distribution company Advanced Supply Chain (ASC).
It has launched Consultancy Plus – a service aimed largely at SMEs to help improve business efficiencies.
A full-time general manager has been installed on-site at J Rosenthal & Son Ltd to improve strategic thinking, process re-engineering, operational management, staffing and recruitment.
Harry Rosenthal, managing director, said: “Consultancy Plus has been incredibly helpful.
“They highlighted operational inefficiencies we weren’t aware of and helped us to remove them effectively to enhance the service we offer.
“We’ve since installed an ASC member of staff as a full-time general manager at the firm.”
