CCTV Police wish to speak to this man CCTV Police wish to speak to this man

POLICE have issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to after a 16-year-old girl was inappropriately touched on a bus in Rossendale earlier this year.

The incident took place on the Manchester-bound X43 as the bus travelled along Manchester Road in Burnley on May 15.

A man touched the student as he sat next to her on the bus. He got off at the Craven Heifer pub bus stop in Rawtenstall.

DC Ian McLean from Burnley CID said: “I would appeal to anybody that recognises this man or with any information that could assist with our investigation to come forward and call me on 01282472142 or 101.”

why does it take the police so long to bring these stories to the public ? It is now the 20th September how many people can remember just what they were doing back in may ? These stories should be made public sooner and maybe the police stand a chance of catching this vile man.

Any why invest in cctv that produces such poor images? A camera phone from 2005 can capture sharper images than this.

Can a cameraphone from 2005 store 15 hours of footage in high quality? It's never been about camera quality, it's always been about storage when it comes to CCTV. The busses have at least 6 cameras on so on a 15 hour route need to store 90 hours worth of footage, then they need to take the 90 hours of footage from each bus and store that for a while. An average HD file is 1.5gb per hour so if they didn't compress the image they would need 135gb per bus per day to store the images in better quality than this.
