Colne man arrested as part of £350,000 fraud investigation in Cumbria

AN East Lancashire man has been arrested as part of an investigation into a £350,000 fraud.
Cumbria detectives have charged three men in connection with a fraud investigation that centres around a victim from the Baycliff area of Barrow-in-Furness, who was allegedly defrauded out of the six-figure sum.
On Tuesday, September 4, officers a team of officers from Barrow CID and the Financial Investigation Department in Barrow arrested a man at an address in Accrington.
Subsequently, Liam Dinsdale, 27, of Alkincoats Road, Colne, was charged with conspiracy to de-fraud and money laundering.
He appeared before Furness and District Magistrates Court on Thursday where he was remanded in custody.
Two other men, John Rixon, 33, from Stewart Street, East Clayton, Manchester, and Simon Rixon, 30, from Industrial Street, Liversedge, West Yorkshire, were arrested in the Furness area on August 29, and have also been charged with conspiracy to defraud and remanded in custody.
They are all due to appear on September 28 at Preston Crown Court
