Boss vows to act on child poverty across East Lancashire

LANCASHIRE county council children services boss Susie Charles has reacted to yesterday’s Save the Children report revealing thousands of local youngsters are living in poverty.

She said: “Tackling child poverty is one of our key priorities.

“We give advice and support for families on lower incomes through children's centres, provide training opportunities enabling young people to develop their skills, and support economic growth across the county.

“We will continue to work with our partners to address this issue."

People need proper paid secure employment, not the national minimum wage slavery. when that happens child poverty as well as all other poverty reduces. This Tory led coalition prefers to keep the masses under control through fear. It will back fire on them, people are not fools and can clearly see who is suffering and who isn't.

Susie Charles,is going to work miracles ? Ste G your right. Working parents seem to be the ones struggling to make ends meet.
She is going to provide training opportunities to enable young people to develop their skills and contribute towards the economic growth. What growth ?
She is going to offer advice and assist those on lower incomes. Is this to be outside normal working hours,or are those already struggling to take time off work to attend these centres ?
She talks nothing but Political Claptrap.
