Drugs are seized in Accrington house raid

CANNABIS and suspected crack cocaine and amphetamine have been seized after police raided a house in Accrington.

Officers from the Woodnook, Peel and Barnfield neighbourhood policing team executed a warrant at an address on Rothwell Avenue on Tuesday and discovered two large cannabis plants, cannabis bush and a large amount of powder believed to be crack cocaine and amphetamine.

The raid took place at 11am after local residents highlighted concerns to police.

Community Beat Manager PC Rachel Pilkington said: “The plants were around 3.5ft high and were heavily budded. The powder, which was found in the fridge, has now been sent off for forensic analysis and enquiries are ongoing to find out who was responsible.

“We are committed to taking action to remove drugs from our communities and I urge residents to continue to come forward with information or suspicions about drugs in their neighbourhood.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Every single day, hundreds of thousands of people are just one harvest away from retirement.

Due to prohibition, cheap growing equipment and a few seeds from friends, or ordered over the internet, it's now possible to grow a whole retirement fund in just 12 weeks. Why are we wasting our precious resources on a futile attempt at trying to prevent the impossible? Who gains? Everywhere I go, I come across people discussing their latest growing techniques or swapping recipes for pest control. I get shown more indoor marijuana gardens than holiday photos. So why are there still so many people buying into the dangerous and failed farce of Prohibition?

It's not even possible to keep drugs out of prisons but prohibitionists wish to continue wasting trillions of our money in an utterly futile attempt to keep them off our streets.

If you want to rid the community of harmful drugs then simply shut down all
the chemists shops and pharmacutical firms who hawk such garbage, such
as the bayer corp smithclien beecham etc etc ... Its not unlawful to grow your own, never has been and never will, legality is a fraud and is as genuine as that other piece of crap, christianity.

"You really have to be stupid to use cocaine so well done to the police for detecting this evil product"

sigmond freud was a great user and promoter of cocaine, not surprising he thought he was clever, a delusion brought about by his overconsumption, it temperary raises the i.q. but with dreadful consequences, most cokeheads think theyre god whilst under the influence, this is because their raised i,q deludes them like it deluded freud.
when they come down from the normally out of reach thought processes its no surprise they want more. However if one was to actually expand the mind with real knowledge, the i.q. will raise itself as a permanent feature and enable one to look down on cokeheads as wannabee intellects with no natural ability to grasp what its all about. Still i dont consider unlicensed untaxable drugs as evil, i do beleive that prohibition is the ultimate evil
brought about by pure ignorance and self aggrandisement of worthless
people and ethics. Creation gives us a choice, so who the hell is anyone
to go against creation and declare themselves better than all that there is?
only a deluded monkey destined for the dustbin of evolution. enjoy your self made cortisone" death."
