Blackburn teenager drank four bottles of vodka in a weekend

A BINGE drinking teenager admitted to drinking four litre bottles of vodka in a weekend.

And Blackburn magistrates heard Benjamin Anthony Eddleston had no perception of the fact he might be putting his life at risk by his alcohol consumption.

Eddleston, 19, of Montrose Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of stealing from motor vehicles. He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison suspended for 12 months and made subject to community supervision.

Probation officer Linda Przybysz told the court Eddleston worked in a bakery and didn’t drink during the week because of his job.
