Nelson games area path check

PENDLE Council officers are to investigate the location of the paths near to the Multi-Use Games Area in Netherfield Road, Nelson.

The move comes after one walker was knocked over by a ball that came over from the games area on to one of the paths.

Coun David Whalley said: “I have had a look at the paths after being contacted and they do seem to be raised to a level where any ball coming over from the games area could hit and hurt somebody, and the council could be liable.”
