A TEENAGER is set to represent Blackburn when she takes part in a national pageant this month.

Holly Hunter, 17, who has been named Miss Teen Blackburn, has seen off competition from hundreds of young girls to win her place in the Miss Teen Great Britain final in Blackpool on September 30, where 60 girls will compete for the title.

Holly Ikin, organiser of the contest, said: “Miss Teen Great Britain is about much more than a pretty face.

“The aim of the competition is to celebrate teenagers, their ambitions and their achievements.

“Holly has done fantastically to make it to the grand final of the competition, we were overwhelmed by the high standard of applicants.

“She has a great, natural look and we are excited to have her in the competition.”
