A BY-ELECTION for a new councillor in the Trinity ward of Burnley is to take place on Thursday, September 13.
The by-election is being held after the death of former mayor, Coun Tony Lambert, earlier this year.
Residents have to be registered on the electoral roll to be able to vote and the deadline for registration is Wednesday August 29.
Elections officer Alison Morville said: “We want to make sure that everyone eligible to vote is able to do so.
“The most important thing is that residents are on the electoral roll because if they’re not they won’t be able to vote.”
To check whether you are on the electoral roll and for information on postal or proxy voting contact the elections office on 01282 477261.
