50 jobs boost as Rossendale call centre grows
12:00pm Tuesday 21st August 2012 in News
ROSSENDALE has received a second jobs boost in four days after 50 new call centre positions were announced.
Atrium Legal Services will take on the staff after expanding his presence in the New Hall Hey Business Centre in New Hall Hey Road, Rawtenstall.
The recruitment drive comes just days after discount retail chain B&M Bargains revealed it would create 30 new jobs when they open on the site of the former Focus DIY shop in Bocholt Way.
Atrium is a claims management company which specialises in industrial disease claims for injuries and illnesses such as hearing loss, back pain and repetitive strain injury.
The firm was founded in 2008 and moved to its Rossendale home in 2010. It expanded in March 2011 to its current workforce of 70.
Chris Evans from the company said: “At Atrium Legal we have seen amazing growth over the last year.
“The company has grown 10-fold since it was founded. We have more clients than ever which means we needs more advisors.
“We are delighted to work with Hurstwood (the business centre’s owners) in our expansion plans by taking on an extra 2,600 square feet. They have been very helpful and supportive in bringing our vision to life.”
Mr Evans added that the jobs would be advertised locally as the company sought to give something back to the community.
He said: “We will be looking at applicants throught the Jobcentre and assessment days and obviously while we cannot guarantee where our staff come from, 99 per cent of people who apply are from the surrounding area.
“Most of our staff come from Rossendale, Bury and Burnley.”
