Spiked drink blamed for Clitheroe attack
10:00pm Friday 10th August 2012 in News
A 32-year-old Slaidburn man bit another man on the cheek during a disturbance in a Clitheroe takeaway.
Blackburn magistrates heard Shaun Patrick Kenny attacked Richard Lund as he intervened in a fight between their respective partners.
Kenny, of Townend, Slaidburn, pleaded guilty to assault. He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Krystal Savoy, defending, said Kenny had no recollection of the incident and wondered if his drinks had been spiked.
