A 26-YEAR-OLD man who was found in a person’s house drinking a bottle of WKD, is awaiting sentence.
Burnley Crown Court heard how Matthew Hefford had been found by the householder when he went to tidy up the back yard of the property.
Hefford, from Burnley, but of no fixed address, had not been in trouble for four years and had never invaded a house before.
The defendant had admitted burglary and had been committed for sentence by Burnley magistrates. Hefford was remanded in custody for a pre- sentence report. Judge Simon Newell told him: “All sentencing options are open.”
