  • "Why is it they can go were they want and do what they want and if the owner doesn't want them there even though they have illegally set up camps its the owner and the tax payer who pay a huge bill to get them moved to just go elsewhere. Send a sh*t spreader past the sight and spray the site see how long they remain!!!!!!!"

Illegal travellers' site set up near Blackburn police HQ

AN ILLEGAL travellers’ site has been set up on a trading estate in Blackburn, just metres from a police station.

The camp, in Dyneley Road, on the Greenbank Technology Park, was set up several weeks ago, with just one van.

But over the last six weeks, more vehicles have arrived and this morning seven vans had set up camp in the cul-de-sac, just off Blakewater Road.

People working on the industrial site said they had seen the travellers hanging washing out on the railings surrounding the back of the regional headquarters of Lancashire Police’s Eastern Division premises.
