Burnley ‘vomit covered’ dad butted ex-partner

AN angry dad headbutted the mother of his child and started smashing up her house after the infant's christening, a court heard.

Burnley Magistrates Court was told how Jack Robinson, 27, had lost his temper after ex-partner Jenna Stanworth had woken him up because he had an appointment at the Jobcentre.

Ms Stanworth had found Robinson covered in vomit the morning after the celebrations.

The defendant had started wrecking the victim's possessions, leaving a £400 trail of damage, before he assaulted her.

Robinson, who has just started a Controlling Anger and Learning to Manage It programme, imposed after previous violence against the same victim, was spared immediate jail.

The defendant, of Piccadilly Square, Burnley, admitted damage and assault by beating, on April 30.

He received 16 weeks in custody, suspended for six months, with six months supervision and must pay £200 compensation.
