Police hunting Blackburn window smashers

VANDALS who damaged windows at a housing office in Blackburn are being sought by police.

Officers have issued an appeal after more tha £1,000 of damage was caused to Twin Valley Homes at Prospect House in Wharf Street.

Pebbles from a grassed area close by were thrown at the windows, police said.

Officers are keen to speak to a group of around six to 15 Asian youths who were seen hanging around car park of Prospect House on June 1 around 10pm.

Sgt Jon Cisco said: “I would appeal to anyone with information that could assist with our investigation to contact Lancashire Police on 101.”

Kids they can be a right pane am sure the coppers will crack this one if they don't it will shatter the arrest rates any way will keep an eye out the window for them flying pebbles.

Good grief, here we are, nearly 4 weeks after the fact, and only now, the Police are appealing for potential witnesses.
I hope that someone on the premises has the common sense to turn the CCTV cameras towards the area from where the missiles came from, giving the Police an opportunity to catch the offenders, instead of relying on this fruitless exercise.
Am not convinced that this will be an isolated incident of mindless vandalism and will be repeated.
