MOTORISTS suffered long delays this morning after a vehicle fire on one of the area's busiest roads this morning.
Both lanes of the southbound A56 near Edenfield were blocked by the blaze at 6.50am One lane was re-opened after the blaze involving a white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was put out.
But long queues developed back into Rawtenstall, Haslingden and Grane Road.
