TWO men arrested for their involvement in a bar brawl 24 hours before a man was found dead at his Accrington home, have been released without charged.
The men had been arrested on suspicion of affray and common assault after an incident in the Straits Lane Club, in Oswaldtwsitle.
The arrests were sparked after 38-year-old Gary Leigh was discovered by his girlfriend at the ground floor flat they shared at Eastside Spire Farm, in Sandy Lane, Accrington on April 7.
Mr Leigh, had been out drinking at the National Association of Church and Oswaldtwistle Club, in Straits Lane, Oswaldtwistle on April 6, and had been involved in a fight with two men he knew, police said.
However, a post-mortem examination has confirmed that his death was not linked to the assault.
A 37-year-old man, from Accrington, was given an adult caution, but it was not in relation to the altercation with Mr Leigh.
A 31-year-old man from Oswaldtwistle was released with any further action.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned into Mr Leigh’s death by East Lancashire Coroner Michael Singleton.
