TERMINALLY-ill Burnley tot Joshua Hill received a family boost after his aunt completed the London Marathon.

Joshua, who was one last month, has ohtahara syndrome, a very rare form of epilepsy.

His aunt, Gail Hill, 39, completed the run in three hours and 40 minutes to raise funds for Epilepsy Action.

Gail said: “The course was tough at times, but knowing I was doing it for such a fantastic cause really helped me focus on reaching the finish.”

Gail has raised more than £8,000 to help support Epilepsy Action’s work.

Joshua’s condition, which was diagnosed when he was about three months old, means he has seizures, initially around 200 per day.

He lives in Padiham Road with mum and dad, Carrie and Anthony.

Joshua receives food and oxygen via a tube and the progressive incurable nature of this condition means he is not expected to reach his second birthday.
