A KNIFE-wielding man sparked a three-hour siege by hiding in an attic and threatening emergency services.
Paramedics were called to an address in Moor Road, Chorley, at 9.45pm on Wednesday and immediately phone the police.
Officers said a man was ‘holed up’ in the attic with a collection of various knives.
Police said he was threatening to harm himself and anyone who came near him.
No-one else was in the property at the time.
Trained police negotiators were called in and at 1.10am on Thursday, the man surrendered and was arrested.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
This morning (THURS) a 37-year-old man from Chorley was being held on suspicion of making threats to kill and affray.
He was being questioned by police.
