BURNLEY Football Club’s chief executive Paul Fletcher is to quit after four years in the role, the Lancashire Telegraph can reveal.
The former Clarets striker is understood to have tendered his resignation after being at loggerheads with a director about ways to progress the club behind the scenes.
Many of the arguments have centered on Burnley’s new football university.
It is understood he plans to see out the remainder of the season before stepping down.
