SAFE and sound in their suburban home, Will and Lynn Cameron used to sleep well at night, trusting their children were protected.

Will, in particular, was comforted by the fact that he and Lynn raised three bright children, and that once the doors were locked and the alarm was set, nothing was going to harm his family.

When his 14-year-old daughter, Annie, made a new friend online – a 16-year-old boy who she met in a web chat room – Will and Lynn didn’t think much of it. But after weeks of communicating online, Annie slowly learns he is not who he claims to be.

Yet, Annie remains intrigued by Charlie even as the truth about him is uncovered, setting in motion a chain of events that forever change the family’s lives in ways that no one could have ever predicted.

The film stars Academy Award nominees Clive Owen and Catherine Keener and is directed by David Schwimmer, who, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Rape Foundation in California, for many years, has met many victims and their families.

However, one particular father’s account stood out and inspired him to create Trust – a film about online predators in today’s internet age.
