I refer to the story (LT, July 4) regarding the horrific experience suffered by Jodie and her owner when they were out for a walk and attacked by another dog.
How irresponsible of the owners of the dog which was responsible for Jodie’s injuries to allow children to walk it.
These kind of unprovoked attacks are taking place far too frequently and nothing is done about them.
My own dog has been attacked twice: once by a rottweiler and the second time by a doberman.
She’s 14 years old, corgi sized and was minding her own business when these dogs attacked.
Not only did the events frighten her, but they have unnerved me and I’m terrified of meeting up with these breeds of dogs when we are out.
Derek Edmondson is 80 and has walked the same path for the last 15 years. His enjoyment of that walk will now be completely ruined and no action will be taken to control the attacker.
Dog lover, Darwen.
