THREE East Lancashire men have been charged in connection with a bowling alley brawl in which the suspects fled the scene in a Rolls Royce and a Lamborghini.

A 20-year-old man was glassed in the head after a fight broke out at Bowlplex on the Peel Leisure and Retail Park at 9.30pm on December 27.

A 41-year-old man and his 42-year-old female partner also became involved in the altercation and suffered minor injuries.

A group of men were seen leaving in expensive hire cars soon after the incident, which involved ‘improvised weapons’ including beer glasses and pool cues.

Mohammed Danish Junaid, 22, of Taylor Street, Brierfield, has been charged with violent disorder, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and a charge of common assault against the woman.

Shabaz Nawaz, 27, of Edith Street, Blackburn, is charged with violent disorder and three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on the two men.

Hassan Waqqar Malik, 26, of Pringle Street, Blackburn is charged with violent disorder and wounding with intent.

All three will all appear at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 18.
