SEVEN men have been prosecuted for breaching fishing regulations in Clitheroe.

Vincent Joseph Balazs, 21, of Layton Road, Ashton, was fined £30 with £115 costs; Stephen Burns, 26, of Townsend Avenue, Club Moore, Liverpool, was fined £60 with £142 costs; Jamie Paul Cook, 26, of Feltwood Walk, West Derby, was fined £30 with £142 costs; and Shaun Cowgill, 30, of Croft Street, Earby, was fined £30 with £115 costs.

All had fished without a licence on August 4 at Pendle View Fishery.

Danny Gregg, 26, of Alexandra Close, Clayton-le-Moors, was fined £60 with £142 costs and Graham Scott Walden, 28, of Lancaster Drive, Clayton-le-Moors was fined £30 with £115 costs, for possessing an unlicensed rod and line with the intent to fish at Barrow Brook Industrial Estate, on August 15.

John William Wood, 19, of Henthorn Road, Clitheroe, was fined £30 with £75 costs for fishing without a licence in Edis-ford Bridge on August 10.
