CONFRONTATION: Coun Colin Rigby
LAST night's Blackburn with Darwen Council meeting ended in chaos when a man confronted former council leader Colin Rigby and threw a shoe at him.
Coun Rigby responded by grabbing the man, who had also been brandishing a toilet brush, by the throat.
The pair were separated and the man, who had been in the public gallery, was led from the building.
Coun Rigby said: "I have no idea who he was."
