A CLOTHING store with branches across East Lancashire is the latest to try to make a success of the former Woolworth’s store in Rawtenstall.

Discount chain Ethel Austin moved into the Bank Street premises from its former home in the Valley Centre.

But within months another closing-down sale was being held at the store, as administrators were called in at branches up and down the country.

Now staff from high street clothing retailers POSH, which has a longstanding branch in The Mall in Blackburn, and another in Bridge Street, Darwen, have made the shop their own.
