WHAT group of lunatics engineered the present road traffic chaos in Blackburn, and what medication were they on at the time? If they had sat down in the mistaken belief that Blackburn had become too popular and that they must dissuade people from coming to the town they could not have done a better job. It is sheer lunacy.

I mean just what do you do when you have two extremely busy roads leading into the town? I refer to Mincing Lane and King Street. Why, of course the answer is obvious!

You ensure that they both meet and then, for good measure, you effectively reduce them both to one lane before and after they meet at the top of King Street! The solution was obvious - wasn't it! As for the crystal maze, it beggars belief that anyone with half a brain could be serious in devising this mess.

I suggest that the entire scheme should be entered for the Guinness Book of Record's Most Monumental Cock-up of the Year Award!

Oh, and by the way, will the town hall stop telling us that they are 'listening' and actually do something about this dreadful mess?
