TO all readers of my previous letter about the impending commercial development within the catchment area of Fishmoor and Guide drinking water reservoirs.
This is your last opportunity to do something positive to prevent the proposed plan to build a petrol filling station on the land sloping into the reservoir.
Written representations are now the only way to influence the decision of the Government Office for the North West, who have been charged with the responsibility of registering all objections to the scheme.
For a little time and the price of a stamp, you can register your own personal objection. There are close to 50,000 houses in the borough and every house needs to make its own protest if we are to influence this important decision.
Please write to the following address and tell them 'No, No, No.'
Reference No. PNW/5286/21/118, Government Office for the North West, Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE.
The closing date for written objections is November 30, 1998.
If you drink it, then protect it.
