EXTRA money has been made available for green-fingered people from Blackburn and Darwen who wish to embark on specialist training courses at a college in West Lancashire.
Myerscough College, near Preston, offers training in subjects such as agriculture and horticulture.
Blackburn with Darwen Council's education and training department has pledged to help pay towards course fees for up to 100 people.
The financial support means people on benefits will have their course fees met entirely by the council, others will have their fees supplemented.
Coun Simon Danczuk, chairman of the council's youth, adult and training sub-committee said: "By identifying places for Myerscough we are making sure the people of Blackburn and Darwen have access to courses they may not otherwise have been able to afford."
