ANTLEY had a good win at relegated Salesbury A to cling on to the top of Division One, but Great Harwood A in second, also won handsomely at Whalley A.

Great Harwood need just three points from their final game at Ribblesdale A to snatch the title.

Burnley Road B lost heavily at Ribblesdale A but their fighting draw at Haslingden was not enough to save them from an immediate return to Division Two.

In the Second Division, Clayton Gatty scored a maximum to claim the second promotion spot to Division One, and in the process sent Free Gardeners into Division Three. Clitheroe Cricket got sufficient points in their defeat at Coppice to go up as champions.

The promotional issues in Division Three having been finalised last week, relegation was the main focus of attention. Sabden Red were beaten convincingly by promoted Globe B, leaving the two Castle teams to fight to avoid the drop. Castle B fought hard and beat Salesbury B, but their A team step up, even though they lost at Burnley Road A.

Leisure Hour B finished off their first season in style with a whitewash of Sydney Street, who must be content with third place, leaving Immanuel as runners-up, although they lost at Oakhill.
