CLIMBER Graham Huddleston spoke of the ordeal on Europe's highest peak in which his companion Alan Heywood was nearly frozen to death.

An air ambulance was chartered for Alan, 41, of Dill Hall Lane, Church, who was originally pronounced clinically dead while climbing Mont Blanc with three East Lancashire friends.

Doctors at nearby Chamonix hospital brought him back to life.
