THE chemistry was right for six pupils from St Wilfrid's High School, Blackburn, when they achieved a third and highly commended placing in the finals of a regional young analysts competition.
The two teams of sixth-formers successfully analysed a sample of lime in the finals at Lancaster University. They had competition from 45 other teams.
