NEIL Warnock is not easily satisfied.

But his reaction to Sheffield United's 2-0 victory, maintaining their 100 per cent home record, was a measure of the price that Division One managers place on the Blackburn Rovers scalp.

Warnock said: "That was the best performances in 20 years as a manager because we were playing against a top side.

"All my sides are renowned for being committed and giving everything but I thought we played some fabulous football.

"Anybody who paid their money or watched on television can't have done anything but enjoy it.

"We were 11-5 on our patch and Blackburn were evens. People don't give us enough credit.

"We've eliminated all those stupid mistakes at the back and Devlin's like, he's like me on the bench.

"The first goal was lucky as hell and, although their lad missed an open goal, I've seen a lot worse than Bent's disallowed goal given.

"We knew they would have a lot of the ball because they have quality players. But, until that open goal, I don't think they really opened us up."

Rovers midfielder Jason McAteer attempted to look on the bright side. He said: "There's plenty of confidence in the squad and, if we had converted our chances, we could have won 5-2.

"As long as we create chances we've got a chance. "We've lost our last two and people are talking about a crisis but we were never going to go the season unbeaten.

"The manner in which we lost was disappointing but plenty of good things came out of it."
