TWO men have denied a manslaughter charge over a man's fatal injuries in a lorry incident.
Andrew Walker, 33, of Bury Fold Lane, Darwen, a director of Kenley Distribution and Warehousing, and lorry driver Christopher Bott, 36, of Melbourne Street, Clayton-le-Moors, are both charged with the unlawful killing of Khalil Khan on January 5 this year.
They entered not guilty pleas during a Preston Crown Court hearing yesterday.
The second defendant faces a second charge of causing death by dangerous driving on the A666 Blackburn Road, Darwen, which he also denies.
Mr Khan, 22, died after a 32-tonne lorry overturned in Darwen.
A trial date has been set for April 30 next year.
Judge Peter Openshaw QC, remanded the two men on unconditional bail.
